Dubai International Exhibiton Centre

Dubai World Trade Centre

The Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) which is considered one of Dubai's premier landmark properties and business locations was built in 1979 by the late H.H. Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and ruler of Dubai. The Dubai World Trade Centre is considered to be the focal point of business within the Middle East. Since its inauguration in 1979, the centre has played a vital role in stimulating regional and international trade through the UAE.

Today, the complex comprises the original 39-storey office tower, eight exhibition halls, the Dubai International Convention Centre, which can accommodate more than 4,500 delegates in its multipurpose hall when set in auditorium style, a business club, and residential apartments with a leisure club.

The Dubai International Convention Centre (DICC) has been hugely successful in organising world class events. Some of the highlights of the DICC are:

  • 35,000 sq. metres of adjoining exhibition space
  • Played host to 15,340 International Monetary Fund/World Bank delegates, representing 6 billion people worldwide
  • A 4,500 capacity auditorium
  • Thousands of hotel rooms' minutes away

Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre

Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre

Strategically positioned at the heart of one of the most rapidly developing and prosperous regions of the world and at the crossroads of Asia, Europe and Africa, Abu Dhabi is an ideal location for international trade shows and conventions.

The emirate - which is already well established as the venue for such major events as IDEX, the world's largest defence show, and the ADIPEC petroleum industry fair - is now poised for a new era of growth and development as a regional and international trade fair hub.

Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) - Ma'arid, created in 2005 under a law enacted by HH Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President the United Arab Emirates in his capacity as Ruler of Abu Dhabi, is expected to act as the catalyst for a major boost to the exhibitions industry in terms of both facilities and support services, as well as in the number, diversity and prestige of events staged in the emirate.

The government has recognised the outstanding potential economic benefits of the exhibitions and conventions industry not only in the direct promotion of business contacts, trade and investment, but also as an important stimulus to the tourism and hospitality sector. Accordingly, ADNEC will play a central role in the development of both business and tourism in the emirate and to contribute to the government's vision to build and strengthen channels of cultural and trading contact between the Middle East and other parts of the world.
